David K.A. Mordecai was invited present at the 9th Annual Global Alternative Investment Management (GAIM) Conference, June 10-13, 2003 in Geneva, Switzerland at the Noga Hilton.
David K.A. Mordecai presented at the Post-Conference Summit Day on global institutional investment and alternatives chaired by Lawrence Newhook, Associate Portfolio Manager, Alternative Strategies at Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System.
The theme of the day was Examining the thinking behind major institutions’ changing approach to alternatives within their portfolios and their businesses. David Mordecai’s topic was New Research: An Examination of Linkages Between Hedge Funds and Insurers – Past, Present and Future: From Co-operation to Competition, Why Some Insurance-Linked Investment Vehicles Will Survive While Others Will Not.
The GAIM International conference is the largest and longest running hedge fund event in the world, and regularly attracts institutional investors, private bankers, high net worth individuals, family offices and sovereign wealth funds as well as fund managers including big brands and boutique investment houses from across the globe.
